Everything in this book you can read on the inheritance wiki, plus, it was written before Inheritance came out, so not everything is covered. What also bothers me is the fact that with some words, the writer just refers back to another word. I've only seen it happen once, but in my experience, it is pretty annoying.

The best resource out there is the one Christopher uses. Unfortunately the vast majority of it isn't public yet Christopher said in a recent interview that there are over 1, articles written , but the ones that have been published are really thorough and well written. There's a good discussion about this on the Inheritance Cycle Discord server, and I just want to copy some of these points over here for Redditors that don't use Discord.

An A-Z guide is not meant to be something you sit down and read cover to cover. It's like a dictionary, you can pick it up to find out more on a specific term as you come across it whilst reading The Inheritance Cycle. That may be why you felt it read like a book report.

You mention that some words have a reference to another word for example, the entry for "Blood-Oath Celebration" might say "See Agaeti Blodhren". These are done not with the intention to break up your reading because you're not really meant to read it cover to cover anyway , but instead to reduce the size of the book by not having to copy and paste identical entries for words that are essentially synonyms. I personally don't have this book, but I feel that the real reason why you shouldn't buy The Inheritance Almanac isn't that it is poorly written it's not or reads like a report it's meant to or because it contains "see synonym " references they cut down on repetitive text , but because it has been essentially replaced by the Inheritance Wiki, which has continued to be updated since when this book was released and there's been a lot of new content since then.
